It’s been awhile

It has been a very long time since the coven has put anything out. Each one of us has been on quite a journey. Some of it together and some of it alone. Each really delving into why we are here.

Personally, I have been contemplating for over a year deleting this website and starting something new. But in the end I decided to keep it because I am the coven and the coven is me. And there are many things that I am being drawn to share.

Right now most of the world is in a collective great awakening. You may be feeling or seeing this right now. My guides are urging me to bring my perspective to the table. Each person learns and takes in information differently. Which means, the words in this blog may help. Even if it is just one sentence that sparks something in your soul.

I started my spiritual journey in 2012. Along the way I have experienced many amazing things. And equally released things that were holding me back. I was pulled by my heart chakra to heal my past, present, and future trauma. Eventually that led me to work on my past life, generational and  multi dimensional trauma. I found these tend to linger like a bad energy enveloping my soul. Thankfully most of that healing is complete because that leaves me with a unique perspective on what we are all collectively going through.

Around 2018, I started wondering, what I could do to help. Which is when my cousin Sharon and I attempted podcasting for a few years. When the Cousins Coven was formed I had no idea where this adventure would take me. It is what ultimately led me to healing that trauma. And also held my hand on my magical awakening. Which led me to study Enochian magic, the inner workings of auras and chakras. As well as encouraging myself to search for more meaning in my everyday life. So that I could achieve living in a more aligned space. Giving me the freedom to create my own joy in every situation. Even death.

When the podcast dissolved I started writing many many books. All of which are unfinished but hold information that eventually needs to be shared with everyone. Which I hope to do via this website. As much as I would like to sell books for a living, I would rather give the information to those who need it the most. Those who are like me. Just an everyday person working, living an ordinary life but filled with magic and awe.

Recently one thing that I have been doing in my community is performing group sound wave experiences. Where we have a group of people laying on massage tables all in one room. We start off the session with guided deep connected breathing and meditation. When everyone is in deep relaxation 1 or 2 of us start playing crystal sound bowls and other instruments. While we play 2-3 reiki practitioners are using that universal energy to help the individual on their journey. When the drums beat and the bowls sing it really brings out a frequency that can be quite life changing. It has certainly changed my perspective.

Aside from sound experience I wanted to know what else I could do to help and how far out into the world these words could travel. On a whim, yesterday while searching for spiritual retreats, thinking that might be the way I could help others, I found many people offering some amazing things. Most way out of my budget. I found someone charging $55,000 (American) for a one on one retreat. That’s more than I make in a year. I sort of recoiled at the thought that someone would be charging so much for something that should be free. I understand that we all need to make a living. However, I also have a belief that we hold the tools inside of ourselves to find what we need. So ultimately, after seeing that website I came to the conclusion, that is their journey and this is mine.

My journey so far has been to give the world magic and spiritual knowledge. Which I want to keep doing.  My goal, going forward on this website is to create a tab to different things you may be guided to. I won’t be offering tarot readings or any one on one’s. Just some tools to help you on your magical journey. Consistently writing with the magical intention that whomever needs to read this will find it.

I don’t do social media anymore. I found it to be all consuming and lost sight of what truly mattered to me. Because while my face was glued to my screen I was missing out on living in the moment. And instead was really living in my ego. So I had to take a step back and reevaluate what worked for me. And for me, I don’t think I want to go back to it at this time. The point I am trying to make is that I won’t be linking social media to these posts. Which means if you found this page you were already a follower, or something guided you to it. My hope for you, dear reader, is to inspire something in you to awaken to your higher power. Enjoy this ride because even if you don’t believe so, you are here on this planet at this very moment for a reason. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Many Blessings,

Wendy

It’s finally happening

As I type this we are preparing for a new episode! It’s finally happening. We hope to have a new episode out to you all before the end of the year. For those of you on our mailing list, we are hard at work on a newsletter. Make sure to check your inboxes because we are about to divulge what our new season is all about!

A lot has happened this past year for the coven. Both personally and professionally. We can’t wait to share all of these changes with you.

Many blessings-

The cousins Coven

Speak your truth

This is a poem I wrote last year. I then used it in a spell to gain self confidence so that I could live my true authentic self no matter who I was with. Regardless of the persecution I thought I would receive. Sometimes living the witch life in a sea or religion and religious stigma can be very difficult.

This is the time this is the place

For everything to have its own space

All of my trials all of my errors

Sits on the shoulders of all the pallbearers

The world surrounds me like a fresh set of clothes

I can feel everyone even their woes

Running and panting I hide from myself

I find a solution upon a bookshelf

A book filled with spells for potions and charms

So those around me can do me nor harm

As the day is ending and the dark sets in

The candles are lit, the spell must begin

Chanting and casting have begun to take flight

The calling of corners has contained things just right

Midnight is crowning the moon shining bright

The spell sets in as night turns to light

I know in my soul life is changing fast

Because of the spell that I had just cast

Now to end the worries and doubts

I stand on the rooftop as I begin to shout

Mote it be, mote it be, mote it be

May you find happiness in your heart, love yourself and joy in each other. Blessing to all

Craving Balance

I really wanted to share my Corona virus journey with everyone. In today’s environment I find myself working on things that inspire me to live through adversity. What does that look like? Well, for me that allows me to look at what is in my life and what I can work on. Living in the middle of a pandemic, helped me see what it was that I was needing in my life. That was balance. Right now I have been granted an opportunity to achieve balance. Balance in my every day life. I feel like a balanced life comes different for everyone. Some people thrive in the midst of chaos. Others need rigid structures. And some need a little of it all. I fall into the category of a little of it all. My current surroundings helped me see what it was in my life I was currently doing. I saw my day filled with tasks. I was literally staring at a daily to do list of massive proportions. I thought in order to achieve happiness I needed to really work for it. Then I started to see that I needed to scrutinize this list a little further. I asked myself, which of these tasks is essential. So I took that list and I narrowed it down. I found the things that were absolutely essential. The mind, the body and the spirit. That gave me the opportunity to see that in order to create an overall balance of my life I needed to start creating balance in my mind, body and spirit. I started by creating a balanced space for my body. What does creating balance in the body actually mean? Am I eating right? Am I getting enough sleep? What stress can I alleviate? Am I responding positively to those around me? Once I answered those questions and adjusted my diet and exercise, It was then I could see that my body was balanced. That took less effort than I thought. Up next the mind. I thought this would be easy. But, the truth is that through growth you have to see with extremely open eyes. From previous experience I realized that I really was not having a good mindset. I was seeing through the eyes of fear, quite often. When I really wanted to be seeing situations for what they are but with the eyes of love. Because I was able to alleviate my task list and reduce the list to just the essentials I could see that I was able to take daily shopping trips , driving people different places, travel to and from work, and many other things off my list it meant I now have the time to see who I really am through the eyes of love. That meant being more mindful about my responses to others. Knowing to listen more. Also knowing that I have a difficult time listening in the moment. Like on podcast I am constantly listening to the words Sharon is saying and then I turn around and attempt to multitask so that I can think about what I am going to say in response to something I was only half listening to. So once I realized all of my deep dark sides, I could see that my mind was in balance. Because I was able to remove the thoughts that were essential. I looked at my responses through the eyes of love. Which led me to realize that our current circumstances that I actually could have a balanced mindset. I realized that Love and fear can work together as long as fear outweighs love. Alright, so at this point my body and my mind are in check. But, my spirit was still a little unbalanced. Knowing alone that I could see that, helped me see that I had lost my ability to focus and my ability to have joy. So I dropped my mind and body down to the essentials. This method of removing essentials wasn’t really how to create balance with the spirit. Dropping down my task list I was granted the time to enjoy myself. Which I hadn’t done in awhile. It allowed me to create art, to commune with the spirits, to tap into the earth and become grounded. It let me just breathe. And it was in that moment I realized that for me, a balanced life is living in the moment. And living in the moment feels really amazing. It means that I can let go of the the things that I have held onto from my past. It means I don’t have to fear what is going to happen in the future. It only means that I am here, present in this moment. Writing these words to you. What helps you create balance.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Emptying that box at the back of the closet

As a child many things are thrust upon us. In the first 6 years of our life we learn to crawl, walk, talk, speak coherently, read, write and to listen. Subconsciously we also take in everything we see on a daily basis. Everything that is around us is thrown into boxes into our computer hard drive of a brain and tossed into a storage unit in the far reaches of the subconscious to be used at a later date. It is also during this time and because of those boxes we learn habits. Habits that can make or break us. These habits can also set us on life paths. As children, we are completely unaware of these habits. We believe that these are normal everyday ways of life, because we live what we see and we do as we’re told.

As a teenager, our brains become quite fuzzy. We rebel, we believe we know every truth in the world and that those truths are correct. We crave to be loved, validated and seen by others. Sometimes not even seeing ourselves. More information is hidden in our brains, mixed in with our childhood traumas and memories. We start forming friendships with others. We put those people down. We put ourselves down. We temporarily start seeing everyone older than us as the enemy or a pawn or advantage to our life game. At 14 we typically start high school and at that time we are being taught classes that may or not make a difference in our life path. Most of it, we won’t use. I am still waiting to see how Pythagorean’s theorem works into my everyday life. If you find out, let me know. We are told that we need to grow up fast while still staying young. That we have it easy and we should take advantage of being young. To grasp every opportunity that we can because you don’t know what you got til it’s gone.

At the same time we are learning what being a teenager is all about, we are stressing on what society has taught us. That we have to have our whole lives figured out by the time we turn 18. We have to start thinking about our future from the moment we start school. Constantly being told we have to have a career, goals and more schooling in order to have the most money and achieve success. And that career choice is being questioned at every step that we take from the moment we can talk. Constantly being asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?” So instead of making smart life choices based on our own experience we are basing our decisions on what others are telling us we need to do.

Also during this time we have our families ideals forced upon us. Shoved down our throats on a daily basis. You can only date when you are this old. You can’t wear those clothes or dye your hair like that because I don’t approve. But, I’m not going to tell you why. For a large part of the population, our parents stop communicating with us. Which makes us feel unloved. Even though that isn’t true. In the eyes of a teenager, we see this as a void in our life that needs filled. Maybe we turn to self harm, drug abuse or sex. Even meaningless sex can temporarily put a patch on a wound. Although we don’t know it, when these band aid’s fall off, we are left with a deeper wound that is pouring out blood. Our arms could be falling off and we don’t notice because we are numb.

If your family is religious that sets a whole other set of ideals upon us. Especially depending on what genre your parents are from. You can’t date outside your race. You can only marry the opposite sex. You can’t practice anything outside of “our” religion. What I believe you believe and there is no other way of life out there.

Then after high school, we start making harder choices. We move out, we meet new people, we date, we break up, we get married, we divorce, we have children and we generally make poor life choices. Those that don’t, well, let’s face it….everyone makes poor life choices. It just depends on how high we have set the bar for ourselves. What may seem like a “sin” to some means nothing to others. It’s in these years that we start seeing our relationships for what they are. Those old boxes from our childhood constantly creeping in to teach us lessons in life. Our subconscious sees we are happy in our relationship and it starts rummaging around in those dusty old boxes and basically says, hey, remember that thing that happened when you were 8. Yeah, that thing you didn’t want to remember? Let that sit in and see how that relates to your current relationship. Then we start creating drama in our lives based on this event that has been rehashed. Because we were never taught to communicate properly or help ourselves in a positive way. We start taking our anger, frustration and sadness out on everyone around us. Until there is no one left. And then, a large majority of our population dies bitter and alone.

Somehow society got off track. We thought it was necessary to teach years of history and math, instead of teaching life skills that could be helping us as an adult. We always are told you have to be bigger and better than the person around you. You have to be the smartest, the richest, the thinnest, the most amazing person with all the talents. But, that box at the back of your brain hard drive, keep filling it up with your emotions until it busts. Don’t deal with it, because, your pain is what makes you richer in life. Is that the you you want to be? It’s definitely not on my to do list. I am not sure how to make the changes to our world that is much needed. It might not be in my wheel house. But, I can make others around me in my loving circle….see. See the way the world has declined. This way you can all help me figure out how to fix this broken system, for us. For us paranormal loving, free spirited, witchy individuals.

Let’s do spells together. Create magic. Create a world that is better to live in. Better to be a part of. Let’s love deep. Not just others, but, ourselves. Let’s help each other dig deep and clean up those dusty old boxes. Let’s be the shoulder. Let’s use our words to communicate, live and breathe love. Without judgments.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to you all.

Much love,

Wendy

Lost loves

One of the most difficult things that a living being can go through, is loss. This loss can be a divorce, a job, money, a breakup or death etc. Loss can be debilitating. It can suck the life right out of you. The most important thing to remember, is that you are not alone.

The human response to loss is different for everyone. I have had much loss in my life. To the point where I hit one of the lowest points in my life. During that time, I read a lot about dealing with death. I read account after account of the stages of grief. This may work for some people. It did not work for me. Loss can consume you for months, years and the really difficult one’s will be with you for life. It is really up to you to decide if you want to let the loss eat you alive or if you can learn from it and learn to live with it. Some people say, why are you still sad about this loss it has been over a year. But, everyone is unique and deals with these sort of stressers in their own way. Just because someone thinks you should be “over” the loss, doesn’t mean you should be. Take your time. Figure things out and work it out in your time frame, not based on what someone else is telling you.

If you find yourself struggling with loss, here are some pointers from a witchy perspective. Don’t forget that you are who you are. Just because a technique works for one person does not mean that it will work for you. Don’t be afraid to try something out though. You may find that what scares you the most will also help you the most.

  • Meditate I can’t say this enough. Meditation is a very important part of who you are. Meditation can take mere minutes. Or in some cases you may need a longer session. Sit in a space where you can’t be bothered. This is difficult for some people. It might be because they are always surrounded by people or they may be afraid to be alone. If you can’t be alone with yourself and take care of yourself, it is a little more difficult to be there fully for others. Use your meditation time wisely. Sift through your feelings. Or if you need this time to get away from your true feelings, use the meditation as a way to relax and clear your mind of all thoughts. It can be hard for most people to be alone in their mind with all of their emotions and thoughts. So, if you need time to just breathe, do that. Concentrate on your breathing and temporarily shut your emotions and thoughts off. I know that it seems difficult, but, it can be done.
  • Cry  Some people are afraid to show emotion. Loss is a very emotional thing. In order to understand the loss, you need to be able to shed the tears. If you suppress these tears, you are suppressing the emotions that come along with the tears. Just because it is easier to suppress the emotion, doesn’t mean it is healthier. Take time to let the tears out.
  • Talk Confide in a friend, a loved one, a family member or a professional. In some cases you may want to join a grief group. Some people suffer from severe anxiety and being around other people can be taxing on your soul. I am exactly this way. For me it is easier to work one on one. And in most instances alone. Your form of talking can also be in written form. Journal writing and asking yourself the hard questions can also help you along the way. Dig deep so that you make these journal writing or talking sessions worthwhile. This is also a good time for you to write letters to the person who has passed on or about the issue. Write it directly to the situation. If you are in the middle of a divorce or break-up write the letter to them. When the letter is written, one of my favorite things to do, is burn the letter. At this time, I normally perform a small ritual. Most times I do this outside. You should do what feels best and right for you. I will normally call upon the Universe for guidance and help. I ask that as the words are burned for them to also be burned from me. So that I may be at peace and accepting of the situation. When this is done, I will bury the ashes in the Earth. The Earth will then consume them along with any leftover emotions. You may only need one of these talking/writing sessions or you may need many. It is up to you to determine what you need. No one can make that decision for you. You are the ruler of you.
  • Scream Scream the pain out. Sometimes I will go out in the middle of nowhere and scream. Or scream into a pillow. Or just scream and cry. Get the feelings out. If you get them out in the open, out of your mind, then you will be able to see them for what they really are. Be angry just to get the anger out. Because if the anger sits inside, you will start to live and feel an angry life. Most people don’t truly want to be angry. Don’t be afraid to feel these feelings, but, also don’t let them consume you whole.
  • Let go This could mean, say goodbye. It could also mean to just let go of control. In cases of losing a job or money, it feels better to learn your part in the loss. This way you can let go of the feeling of loss and get out of the pit of despair to fix it. If you have experienced a break up or divorce, let go of control over that person or the control that they had over you. When you remove yourself from the situation and analyze it a little you may be able to determine what went wrong. Is it something that you could have stopped? Is there something you can change about yourself to make you a better you? Can you learn from this incident? If the loss is death, let go of control of this. You can not control who passes on. Death is by far the hardest to let go of. It is the one aspect of life that you can not control in any way shape or form. It comes on unexpectedly. Even if someone has been sick for years or is elderly and you knew they were going to pass, the loss of them is still unexpected. Mostly because, we did not fully realize what it would feel like to no longer have their energy in this plain of existence. It is almost like a real piece of you has been ripped away.
  • Keep living This one is the hardest part of all. Because regardless what the loss is, you have to still gain the strength to keep living, breathing, eating and eventually functioning. How you want to keep living is up to you. Do you want to live with your grief or do you want to live consumed by grief.

Whatever your loss is, you have to choose how you want to deal with it. If you need someone to talk to I am always here to listen. Please feel free to email me at cousinscoven2@gmail.com.

Thank you for reading, listening and joining me along in this journey of life.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Demons be gone

Our next episode is going to be about Exorcisms and possessions. In the true spirit of Halloween I wanted to write a tale. Keep in mind this is complete fiction.

Below are excerpts from my journal.

June 2018

Last week, while on one of my many walks along the beach I had the opportunity to meet a delightful woman named Giana. She recently moved back to Santa Cruz from New York, where she was attending college. unfortunately, she had to drop out. From what I could gather she was feeling extremely depressed and wanted to move back home. It also turns out that her mother has a rare form of cancer in her blood stream. No wonder why Giana is depressed. Over the past few weeks I have become close enough to her that I have become her confidant.

August 2018

I just returned from Giana’s mother’s funeral. She passed away so quickly. I feel so horribly for Giana. I can’t imagine what she is going through. Her mother passed at the beginning of the month. Since then I have spent every day making sure Giana gets out of the house. We have been walking on the beach daily. I pray that she will survive this. She barely eats. She rarely sleeps. I am worried for her. Other than our walks and talks, she refuses to speak to anyone else. She has even stopped going to church. She claims it isn’t worth her time. Besides what is the point, God couldn’t possibly love her if she took her mother.

September 2018

Giana is no longer going on walks with me. When I stopped by to bring her some homemade chicken soup, she didn’t even answer the door. The back door of her home was left wide open. I went in to make sure she was OK. When I entered her room, I couldn’t stand the smell. It smelled like sweat, feces and urine. I had to keep from vomiting when I walked in. The blinds were closed. It looked as if she hadn’t left her room in weeks. She was so thin and was crouched in the corner. All of the lights had been broken. The only light was coming from the hallway and a sliver peaked through the curtains. When I went to touch her shoulder, she screamed in a deep guttural voice to get away. It was quite terrifying. If this goes on much longer I am going to have to call someone else in. I think I am going to talk to Father Abigail about this. I am not sure what to do.

October 2018

After speaking with Father Abigail in detail about what is happening with Giana, he agreed to come with me to her home. When we entered the home, at first we couldn’t find her. We searched every room except the basement. As we entered the basement we could only see flickers of candle light. None of the electricity was working in the home, I had to use my cellphone in order to see to walk down the steps. It reeked of sulfur and vomit. When we found Giana she was  the middle of the floor on top of a chalk drawn pentagram. Her eyes were rolled into the back of her head. Her body was somehow contortioned in a way that her neck was bent to the side and her knees were bent backwards. When I called her name her body turned in my direction. Even though her lips did not move I could hear a demonic voice, not Giana’s voice, saying “Giana no longer lives here”. Father Abigail began praying and reading from his bible. Giana screeched and screamed for him to stop. She started speaking in a language neither of us could understand. Father Abigail said he needed to get back up to the church so that he could get help. I waited with her until he returned.

November 2018

A week has gone by and Father Abigail has finally returned with 2 other priests. Father Stephens and Father Lassiter. I never once left Giana’s side while he was away. I just kneeled and prayed. I was also able to get her to drink a little bit of water and broth. The demon said he was not ready for her to die. He had to wait for the father’s to come to his side. I always called her Giana. At one point the demon said, that is not my name, you must call me Corson. I continued to call her Giana. The priests spent 6 days trying to rid Giana of this demon. I video recorded each session with my phone. The priests called this a great exorcism. Each day the sessions would last 8-10 hours. The rest of the time we took turns praying for her and trying to get her to eat or drink. On Day 1 Corson told us a story about how it would torture us in purgatory. On Day 2 it told us all how we would die. It said that I would die in 9 days in a horrible accident involving fire. On Day 3 Corson made Giana eat her own feces. It also made her repeatedly gouge at her skin with a rusty nail it found. When  I attempted to take the nail from Giana the demon inside of her would throw me repeatedly against the wall. On Day 4 The demon made Giana make noises all day long until her voice gave out. It was a day filled with obscenities being yelled with intermittent screeching sounds. All very animalistic. By day 5 we were all feeling exhausted. I had barely slept or eaten anything during this time. I was so concentrated on helping my friend. We continued on with our quest. Corson, said its journey was almost done. It had accomplished almost all that it needed to. When Father Abigail asked if it was giving up, it stated it needed to move on to someone else soon. On day 6, things got worse before they got better. At this point Giana’s arms had been broken and her fingers were all contorted in a way that it looked like she had the worst arthritis anyone had ever seen. Her skin had turned yellow from continuously eating her excrement. During this last session of prayers by the priests, Giana left the pentagram circle. She flew up onto the ceiling and fell on top of Father Lassiter’s head. Knocking him to the ground. It then repeatedly stabbed him with the nail in his eyes. When Father Stephens attempted to pull Giana off of Father Lassiter, Corson screamed for him to die. Father Stephens fell to the ground clutching his chest while dieing. Father Abigail continued to pray. Corson told him to shut his mouth. Father Abigail fell to his knees gasping for air. He passed out. Corson said, “my job is done”. A black smoke came out of Giana’s orifices and it was gone. Giana’s eyes came back to normal and so did her voice. She screamed and cried in pain. And also in relief. I had already dialed 911, they were on their way.

December 2018

Giana has been in the hospital for several days. The doctor said when she leaves she will be heading to a psychiatric ward in LA. I promised to visit her every chance I can get. I also made plans to go with Giana in the Ambulance to LA in a few days. I think I am going to go for a little walk on the beach. And then come back and rest until she is ready to leave. I am completely exhausted.

Article from the Santa Cruz Sentinel 4 days after the exorcism: Local woman dies in freak accident. While walking towards the beach down Riverside Avenue there was a two vehicle crash. One of the vehicles gas tanks was crushed. Gas flew out towards the woman while at the same time the gasoline was lit on fire. She was burned alive and completely made of ash from head to waist. She was clutching a rosary in her hand. On her legs in deep scratches appeared the word CORSON.

The End

Thank you for reading my gruesome Halloween exorcism short story. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Blood Moon Magic

By the power of the moon

in the light of its glow

I shall say my spell

and the Universe will know

I feel my feet

Feel the Earth spin round

I hear my heartbeat mixed with the wind

It is a glorious sound

Like the dead leaves falling

Shedding their past

I too am changing,

Changing so fast.

As I shed my old ways

And look for changes to come

I see everything ahead of me

And know that I am home

I am living in the moment

And taking life day by day

I feel the realization

That I will take life and make it go my way

I call upon the Moon

And feel its strength within me

I thank the Universe with these words

And so, it shall be.

Lady in Gray at Heceta Head Lighthouse

On the central Oregon coast you will find the little town of Florence Oregon. Located on the edge of Northern Florence is the Heceta (pronounced Ha-see-tah) Head Lighthouse. I had the opportunity to visit this little beauty last Mother’s day with my children. Below are some of the lovely photos I took.

It wasn’t until I started researching Urban Legends, I came across this little tale of a Lady in Gray at the Heceta Head Lighthouse. It didn’t make it into our podcast, but, I wanted to make sure to include the tail.

The lighthouse was opened in 1894. That same year, the light-keeper’s house was also built. This beautiful Victorian home sits at the top of a cliff overlooking the beautiful, chilly Pacific Ocean. The first lighthouse keeper Andrew Hald and his wife Rue came to live at the lighthouse with their 2 children. The legend goes, that one day, Rue was walking along the cliffs with her daughter. Her daughter slipped and fell into the ocean and drowned. Andrew and Rue moved away to another lighthouse. Where Rue died of old age. It is said that, upon her death Rue returned to the Heceta Head lighthouse searching for her daughter. She is said to walk the halls of the light-keepers home in the middle of the night. On occasion she is said to be seen walking along the path where her daughter fell. She was dubbed the gray lady because she has this deep Gray hair.

Upon further investigation, the name Rue was not her real name. Her real name was Gine. And, although the Halds’ did have two children, neither of them died at the lighthouse. So, if the lady in Gray exists, who is she? And, why is she there?

Do you have a favorite Urban Legend or ghost Story? We would love to hear your stories. Make sure to listen to our urban legend episode for more spooky stories.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Banishing Gossip

We have all had this horrible feeling at least once in our lives. That feeling is due to someone speaking badly about us and gossiping to others about us. Gossip is a mean spiteful thing. So remember, that you should not be the gossiper, because, you in turn know how it feels to be gossiped about.

I have put together a banishing spell to banish someone from gossiping about you. It is a two step process. The first step is banishing them from talking about you. The second step is a special bath you take so that you can release the negativity and hold they have on you. By the end, you should feel better and no longer need to think of that person.

To banish gossip

Ingredients needed:

1 black candle

1 white candle

1 purple candle

Photo of the offender. If you don’t have one, that is OK. But, it is preferred that you have at least a printed photo. In today’s society of social media, this should be easy to get.

Metal or marble container for ashes (tin can, metal pan…anything that can withstand heat)

Note: All spices can be whatever you can afford. We make them work for us. Divide everything in half. ½ of the ingredients will be used for a bath and ½ for the spell itself.

2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

2 teaspoons Rosemary

2 teaspoons Sage

2 teaspoons Basil

2 teaspoons garlic

2 teaspoons pepper

2 teaspoons clove

2 Lemons quartered

2 Limes quartered

I tend to be a kitchen witch, because the stove and kitchen can keep you near a water source where fires can be put out easily. Also, I am different than a traditional witch. I do not call on the watchtowers or gods. But, please feel free to do so. Each witch is different. Please feel free to tweak this as your own. Any wording used can and shoul be tailored to fit your need.

  1. Play meditation healing music. I like to use a specific one. The link is below.
  2. Write a short letter to the person. Letting them know they hurt you and they are not allowed to do this anymore.
  3. Carve person’s name on the black candle.
  4. Start boiling 3 cups water on the stove.
  5. Light the White candle and place it on the left of the stove and the purple candle and put it to the right of the stove. The White candle represents you and the Purple candle is your spirit guide.
  6. Ask your spirit guide to help you gain the energy you need to perform the spell. Because you are new at this, say this slowly three times out loud. Make sure to breathe deep in between the requests. “I ask you spirit guide to help me with this spell by providing energy and strength”
  7. Ask the Universe to protect you during this spell. This should also be done three times. “Universe, please protect me from all negativity during this spell”.
  8. Light the black candle. You want to make sure that in alignment that the white and purple candles are higher than the black one. This will mean you hold power over this person.
  9. Add the ingredients to the water one at a time. After you add an ingredient say: I banish  you (insert person’s name) from spreading rumors about me. You are not allowed to harm me. Repeat this until you are done with the list of spices. Take your time with this.
  10. Once the water is at a rolling boil, Burn the letter and the picture one at a time. You can do this one of two ways; put the paper in the container and light it with the black candle or you can put directly into the flame. If you decide to burn it directly in the flame you will need to hold it in your hand as long as possible, once it gets to the point you can’t hold it any longer-put it in the water. With each item you burn you will need to say the banish spell slowly 3 times again: I banish you (insert person’s name) from spreading rumors about me.
  11. Once the items are burned- if you put the paper in the water, dump it down the garbage disposal. If you burned it in a can or something you will need to take this outside and bury the ashes where they can’t be disturbed.
  12. Let the black candle burn all the way until it is liquid. Then throw out the wax. Make sure you take it out of the house as soon as it is cool enough.
  13. Part 2: Bath time. Move the White and purple candle to the bathroom.
  14. Start filling your tub with really warm water. Add the ingredients one at a time. Say this spell after each ingredient: I release the negative energy that (insert person’s name) has put on me.
  15. Get into the bath. You can wear some clothing if you don’t want to get anything in your private parts. You should be in the bath until the water gets cold.
  16. During the bath, let out all of your feelings. Release their hold on you. Say out loud: “You no longer control me and your negativity can not stick to me.” Don’t be afraid to cry.
  17. Drain the tub. Throwing out the lemon and lime. Rinse spices out of the tub and take a shower to rinse all of the spices off. This also symbolizes the new you without their negative energy on you.

I hope after this spell you are feeling so much better. Thank you for joining us in making the world a better place, even if it is just the world around you.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Evolutionary vision of bigfoot

In our latest podcast we discussed Bigfoot and where he might have possibly come from. According to recent books and tests, he does appear to be real,  mixed with some unknown DNA. Let’s break down human evolution a bit and see where he might have fit in. *Disclaimer-This may seem like a history lesson in parts, but, I promise to add in some fun stuff.

  • 4.54 billion years ago, the earth was made.
  • 4.54 billion years ago to 9.9 million years ago- there could have been other life that went extinct. Unless we found proof, we would never know. This could have been where Bigfoot came from. He could be the last known survivor.
  • 10 million years ago: Nakalipithecus species appeared. These were a prehistoric ape species that did not walk on their hind legs. This is the oldest ape discovered so far.
  • 9.6-8.7 million years ago: Ouranopithecus species came into play. This was a Eurasian hominoid from Greece. This would be the last common ancestor between apes and humans.
  • 7-5.4 million years ago: Hominin species joined us on our journey. These early humans, walked on two feet and were a mix between humans and apes. With a heavy emphasis on ape behavior. Come on, we know Bigfoot could have began their origins here.
  • 4.5 million years ago: Ardipithecus jumped into the ring. This was found in Ethiopia and looks strangely like a big foot female/male. They were bipedal and ate primarily fruits and nuts. The attitude they had was very chimpanzee like in nature.
  • 2.1-1.5 million years ago: Homo habilis species graced us with their presence. These still have hair all of their body. They were mostly omnivorous, and were learning how to use and make stone tools.
  • 2 million years ago is when the mass exodus from Africa started. They were very archaic individuals but, were learning more ways of survival every day.
  • 1.8 million years ago we evolved into homo erectus. They took bipedal to the next level, by walking more upright.
  • 1 million years ago, is when fire was first known to be used and we now had the ability to cook our food. Bring on the grub. I need a cheeseburger.
  • 700,000 to 300,000 years ago: homo heidelbergenesis species decided they should join us. This was a sub species of archaic humans.
  • 300,000 to 125,000 years ago: homo rhodesiensis species sprung up. This is another ancestor to homosapian. These guys sported the first uni-brow. So in theory, if you were a child that struggled with this type of hair growth, you may have an ancestor that was from this area. And, now have someone to blame it on.
  • 300,000 to 200,000 years ago Homo Sapiens began to evolve. We made it! Now what do we do? We start speaking different languages and writing in different forms.  And, before you know it every person has unlimited technology at our disposal.
  • 72,000 years ago clothes were made. Mind blown, we were naked that whole time.
  • 7,000 years ago first known structure… to date anyways.
  • 6,000 years ago the bible begins. Believe what you will. But, in my opinion, when Adam and Eve leave the garden of Eden there were already other people on the Earth. So, on this tangent Adam and Eve are aliens introduced into our society. Therefore, if an alien race created them, they could have also created Bigfoot.

Yes, this might all seem like gibberish or wild ramblings of a conspiracy theorist. But, the truth is, unless we find something to link the unknown DNA to, we might not ever know where Bigfoot fits in. Here is what I say, keep squatching, keep looking for the truth and report back to us on your findings.

I just want to say a big thank you today, to Taylor. Thank you for helping gather information for this blog. And, thank you to our readers and listeners. We have more exciting things coming your way.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Witch Sisters

Today, I am sharing something a little different. A poem to my sister Amanda.

Witch Sisters

If you find yourself alone you must realize that you are not.

In me you will find a sister like no other, never forget what you have a got.

A witch sister.

A soul twister.

Our friendship is deeper than any bond that could be had.

For I have and will continue to give you all I can.

We were bonded by birth into this family of ours,

And strengthened by belief in this life we chose.

We have shared so much laughter, tears and strife.

We will grow old together through this thing called life.

I could not imagine a more perfect way to be.

Then to don this black hat of mine with you right next to me.

Even when we long for our youthful days,

We will have our memories and our Witchy ways.

I shall remember you beyond this realm we live in,

And hope to find you in the next one.

Much love to you, my sister and to all the witches out there.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Tired as a mother

I didn’t have a chance to write a new post yesterday. Mostly because I have had an exhausting week. Sometimes, we just need a little rest. An empathic person tends to tire easily. I believe this struggle becomes even more real depending on what is going on in our daily lives. Let’s discuss as an empath, how to take care not to overexert your body, mind and spirit.

  • When you start feeling overwhelmed, take a deep breath, mediate or drink some tea. Basically take a step back for a few minutes.
  • Try not to take everyone’s problems as your own. If someone asks for help, prepare yourself and plan your time. This way you come in wearing armor so that you are more clear headed  and can help the person how they should be helped. Sometimes you need to differentiate between feelings of the other person and your own so that you are telling them not, what they want to hear but, what they should hear.
  • Remember it is OK to say no to someone. If you don’t really feel like you can help someone, say no. If you don’t really like someone, say no. You don’t have to help everyone.
  • This applies to work as well. Take on only tasks that you can handle. You don’t want to be overwhelmed by taking on too much work. It is easy for an Empath to try to please others constantly.
  • Attempt to have a career that is not around a lot of people. This way you are not taking on other people’s feelings constantly.
  • Practice yoga and meditation on a regular basis. This will help center your body and can aid you in ruling your own emotions.
  • Have positive mantras. Make sure to remind yourself how strong you are.
  • Know your limitations. Know how much you can handle in a day with every aspect of your life.
  • Stay away from drugs. Sometimes drugs can cause your ability to be even more which makes it so that you no longer have the ability to control it.
  • Know what to do with the negative energy that you feel from others. Dispel it from you so that you are not taking it on as your own.

These are just a few ways to make your empathic life easier. Basically you just need to know what works best for you. And, if you can’t get there on your own, never be afraid to ask for help. Take some self help classes or even a yoga/meditation course. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

The devils in the details

Last night, as I lay awake from my mind racing, I mulled over our latest podcast for house cleansing. And, I started thinking about demons vs. negative energy. I don’t actually believe in the Devil, Satan, demons or whatever you want to call these. I grew up in a very religious home that made me think demonic possession was a real thing and that around every corner lurked the Devil. About 10 years ago, I started thinking that this seemed a little far fetched to me. I realized that I definitely believe in negative energy. And that negative thoughts and words can create negative energy. Also that negative events, can become trapped in a space. Satan was a different story though. To me, it is almost like he is nothing more than a fairy tale.

As I lay there staring at the ceiling I still could not shake the thought of why I stopped believing in the devil. So, in my insominatic state I decided to do a little research. It turns out that the actual Satan name that I grew up with; the story of a fallen angel that brought about evil incarnate chaos, was not actually introduced into religion until the bible came about. Wait…what?! And, even though this is how he was introduced; Satan was not initially a person, it was a feeling. You know good thoughts vs. bad thoughts. So this story was really to scare you from making bad decisions and to stop creating negative energy.

I feel sort of betrayed. Even though I knew that the devil himself, was not real, I still felt like all of the stories I was taught were just that, stories. This must be how children feel, when the learn that Santa isn’t really bringing them gifts every Christmas. Is this a bad thing? Not necessarily. As long as we all still take away the most important part of what the devil represents. That negativity, in any form, is detrimental to our well being.

Remember we create our own happiness and what we put out into the world is what shall come back to us. In other words, treat each other respectfully and you too will receive the same treatment.

Thank you for reading. If you haven’t already, make sure to listen to our 2nd podcast, all about cleansing a home.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

The Empathic Pisces

A Pisces is typically sympathetic, compassionate, empathic, dreamy, creative, intuitive and drawn to anything out of the ordinary.  Does that mean I am double empathic due to the fact I was born an empathic Pisces and a natural witch?

If you are a Pisces and an empath here are some ways to tell you might be:

  • You are very sensitive. Sensitive to negativity and sensitive to others feelings.
  • You may have the ability to feel exactly what someone else is feeling-therefore you feel the same way.
  • Being around others and in public places can be extremely draining. You may even hear other peoples thoughts as well as feelings. This overwhelming feeling can lead you to have anxiety around others. Sometimes just the anticipation of this, might make you not want to be around other people.
  • You may just know something without anyone telling you.
  • You may feel mass death occurring in the world. The day it happens you may be sad and not know why. Check the news and you may find out that you are feeling the sadness of great loss in the world.
  • You feel tired all of the time. Even if you have had plenty of sleep/rest and basically have a well balanced life.
  • You are prone to be fascinated with the supernatural/paranormal/metaphysical and holistic healing.

These are just a few things you might have if you are an empath. What you need to realize the most about being empath, is that it is OK to be this way. Never apologize for the way you are. You just need to accept how you are and learn tricks and techniques on how to live with this. I will go over some ways of how to do this in another blog down the road.

In the meantime, if you need any support or have questions please feel free to contact us at cousinscoven2@gmail.com.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

The beauty of nature

There is something beautiful and life transforming as nature. My favorite part about getting out and getting some fresh air is the calming effect nature has on my soul. Even, in my own backyard, I can just take a deep breath, and feel better about how my life is going.

It is very easy to take nature for granted. In today’s society we work long hours, we spend more time in front of a screen than we do walking outdoors and we spend more time talking to people on the screen. While it is lovely to be able to talk with people who we can’t see on a regular basis, it is also a good thing that we don’t forget about the world we live in.

There is scientific proof that getting some fresh air every day will help you to live a more healthy balanced life. It is easy to become one with nature. All living beings on our planet just need to take that first step outside in order to find beauty in all that is around you. The world outside our walls has much to offer. It can help with Vitamin D deficiencies, helps create serotonin which lessens depression, is good for your skin, helps your body produce natural melatonin-which helps with sleep and you may even get your daily exercise.

As a natural witch, I have the ability to connect with nature on a spiritual level. This helps me to create a bond with the nature around me so that when I am mediating, I have an easier time getting my root chakra to be at one with the Earth. Also, make sure when requesting something from the Universe that you give back by taking care of our planet. Plant flowers, trees, pick up trash and give thanks to the Earth for its healing energy.

If you haven’t been outside today, make sure you take the time to. Thank you for reading.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

The Scenty Pot

Scenty Pot… such a strange word. And no it doesn’t have anything to do with pot; unless you like that kind of thing. It is more of a modern day cauldron.

A scenty pot is a good way to add aromatherapy in your life and can be used for many different things. I use a scenty pot as an air sanitzer in my home, when I have a clogged head or when I am cleansing a house of negative energy.

Remember when cleansing negative energy you want to add positive energy into the space. Using a scenty pot is a great way to do this. The best thing about a scenty pot, is that it can be changed to match what you intend to use it for.

Here is my favorite scenty pot recipe.

You will need a decent sized cooking pot. You don’t have to use a huge one. The size really depends on what you put into, how much water you use and how long you intend to use it.

1-2 lemons sliced into quarters

1-2 limes sliced into quarters

1 orange sliced into eighths

Cinnamon- for this you can use a stick or a teaspoon or two of ground. Use what you have.

Ginger- for this you can use grated root or a teaspoon or two of ground. Once again; use what you have.

Oregano- You can use fresh or 1/2 a teaspoon of ground.

Sage- You can use fresh or 1/2 a teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of dried herb.

2-6 drops of Eucalyptus oil

2-4 drops of tea tree oil

1-2 drops of peppermint oil

Fill the pot halfway with water. Bring to a rolling boil. Keep on a low boil for up to an hour. Make sure to add more water as needed. Also, do not leave unattended. Make sure to take a few deep breaths from several steps away. One time I made the mistake of taking a deep breath from right over the pot which sent me into a coughing fit from so much minty citrusy goodness.

Enjoy! And don’t forget to listen to our new Podcast where we discuss cleansing yourself and your home; on September 12th.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Living with Ghosts

Have you ever walked into a room on a very hot day and you walk through one area of the room and it is freezing. You look up and see there is no air conditioning in the room and it is 90 degrees inside and 96 degrees outside, but, this one spot is frigid. Well, that might have been a spirit. And, you may be working or living with a ghost.

In my experience, ghosts are typically leftover energy from an incident. Or what some experts call a residual haunting. Residual hauntings are benign in nature. They can’t harm you. You may pick up on negative energy if the event that happened was a negative event. This energy doesn’t think or even know that it is there. This event just keeps happening over and over again. If you don’t mind it being there you can just live with it. If it is a positive energy, one day it may go away on its own or it may not really bother you to have it there because it is just something that makes you happy. This type of haunting is easy to dispel by simply doing a house cleansing. You will learn about this in our second podcast.

What happens if it is an intelligent haunting? It speaks to you, it knows that it is there and sometimes you may even see it. Your options are to live with it, cleanse your house and/or ask it to leave voluntarily. Some will listen and some won’t. That is when the cleanse is necessary. Or you may want to cleanse the home because you can feel the negativity and it is effecting you in a bad way. You could also invite someone intuitive into your home, in hopes they can help the spirit move on. Sometimes, in the house cleansing process the spirit will realize it is time to let go and move to what is next for them.

In my experience, people are scared of the unknown. So, it is easier to think that this ghost is really a poltergeist and there to do you major harm. As with witchcraft in the old days when witches were persecuted for no good reason.

So, the next time you feel the presence of a ghost, don’t get scared. And before expelling it, try living with it. Then, ask yourself these questions:

  1. Is this a negative or positive energy?
  2. Is this a residual or intelligent haunting?
  3. How has my life changed since I noticed this ghost?
  4. Is this something that I can live with?
  5. Is this entity hurting me or someone else?

Once you have spent some time with this spirit and have answered these questions honestly, then you will know what to do.

If you need any guidance or help with your house cleansing, removing negative energy or anything else; please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Thank you for reading. May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.

Chakra Alignment

You may be asking yourself, what exactly is a Chakra? And why is mine out of line? How can I fix it?

Now, think of your body like it is a car. Well, except we last longer! Wether you have a new car or an old car, you have to take it in for regular maintenance. We do this so that the car may last longer and so that it may run smoother. Sometimes the car will need an alignment. Pretty expensive process. Honestly that is the same if you were to replace pieces of your own body. So why do cars need an alignment? Most of the time it is because of accidents, hitting curbs and regular wear and tear. That is pretty much how life is too. Have you every mentally hit a brick wall? Or are stuck in the middle of your life road and don’t know which path to take and you pace around and wear the road into a rut, just stuck there. That is when you might need to think about having a spiritual alignment.

Chakra. Sounds like a very strange word, right? The Google Dictionary says : “each of the centers of spiritual power in the human body, usually considered to be seven in number.” Each Chakra is linked to a specific color and area of your body. The seven chakras are:

  1. The root chakra. Associated with the color RED. This is where you can ground yourself and bond with the Earth. I like to imagine that my limbs are literally roots and they are growing into the ground. This is where you will start to fill at one with mother Earth and nature.
  2. The Sacral chakra. Associated with the color ORANGE. This is where your pleasure zone is located. I like to imagine that I am releasing all of the toxins from my body through this section. That if I am feeling pain, I need to let it go.
  3. The Solar chakra. Associated with the color YELLOW. This is where your digestion is located. If you are having tummy issues, kidney, liver, indigestion; it is all located in this section. I always imagine that whatever poison is in my body that it is leaving it through this section.
  4. The Heart chakra. Associated with the color GREEN. This is where all of your love and emotions stem from. I will first imagine that I am pulling daggers out of my heart. And melting them and discarding the liquid in a pool of lava and requesting the Universe to take away any negative thoughts I am having regarding my relationships. I will then imagine that my heart grows whole again and is beating with reverence. Then I imagine I am doing the Care Bear Stare. I basically feel like I am oozing love.
  5. The Throat chakra. Associated with the color LIGHT BLUE. This is where your speaking and nasal/ear sinuses are. I almost always feel this one, because I have extreme sinus issues. I don’t have to imagine anything. I always feel something literally being pulled from me.  But, if I were to imagine something, I would imagine bee’s buzzing around in my head and throat and they fly out one by one. No longer making me feel constricted or blocked in anyway.
  6. The Third Eye chakra. Associated with the color BLUE. For this one, I imagine that I have something covering the middle of my forehead. And that it is slowly being taken away. I know that it is fully gone when I am able to see things through it. I believe that this area is different for others. For some this is where they hold their abilities. For others it is where there thoughts reside. If you need help with a major issue, you would want to connect with this area of yourself. Answers will come to you as needed.
  7. The Crown chakra. Associated with the color PURPLE. This is where you will feel the closed to the Universe, angels, gods etc. (whatever your belief is). I will typically imagine that a string is running through my whole body and is being pulled to where it should be. Straightening me right up by aligning me right where I need to be. It is pretty much a pull of energy through my body. If you feel, rather than listen, you will know which way your spine should align.

Aligning yourself will make you feel a very natural high. I know that there are people on this planet that have the ability to do this through meditation and deep breathing. I can do that too, as long as I have the ability to use vibrational tones. I am adding links to some of my favorite one’s so that you too can try them out. I know I went over quite a bit of this a few posts ago. But, the two of them combined should help you to get your life and spirit on track and intact.

Please feel free to contact us if you need further help in getting yourself aligned. We are more the willing to help you with a spiritual tune-up.

As always, thank you for reading and listening. May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.
