The Scenty Pot

Scenty Pot… such a strange word. And no it doesn’t have anything to do with pot; unless you like that kind of thing. It is more of a modern day cauldron.

A scenty pot is a good way to add aromatherapy in your life and can be used for many different things. I use a scenty pot as an air sanitzer in my home, when I have a clogged head or when I am cleansing a house of negative energy.

Remember when cleansing negative energy you want to add positive energy into the space. Using a scenty pot is a great way to do this. The best thing about a scenty pot, is that it can be changed to match what you intend to use it for.

Here is my favorite scenty pot recipe.

You will need a decent sized cooking pot. You don’t have to use a huge one. The size really depends on what you put into, how much water you use and how long you intend to use it.

1-2 lemons sliced into quarters

1-2 limes sliced into quarters

1 orange sliced into eighths

Cinnamon- for this you can use a stick or a teaspoon or two of ground. Use what you have.

Ginger- for this you can use grated root or a teaspoon or two of ground. Once again; use what you have.

Oregano- You can use fresh or 1/2 a teaspoon of ground.

Sage- You can use fresh or 1/2 a teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of dried herb.

2-6 drops of Eucalyptus oil

2-4 drops of tea tree oil

1-2 drops of peppermint oil

Fill the pot halfway with water. Bring to a rolling boil. Keep on a low boil for up to an hour. Make sure to add more water as needed. Also, do not leave unattended. Make sure to take a few deep breaths from several steps away. One time I made the mistake of taking a deep breath from right over the pot which sent me into a coughing fit from so much minty citrusy goodness.

Enjoy! And don’t forget to listen to our new Podcast where we discuss cleansing yourself and your home; on September 12th.

May you find happiness in your heart, love for yourself and joy in each other. Blessings to all.
